About the SPi Awards
In 2017 we established the SPi Awards, an international photography competition offering top prizes and exposure for a minimal entry fee. Concerned that the high level of entry fees charged by many competitions excludes a huge number of talented photographers from around the world from entering, we set a price of £2 per picture. Sponsored by Olympus in 2017 and Leica in 2018, our winners both had solo exhibitions in London and received high end cameras. We also select twenty finalists each year. Their work forms a separate group exhibition, and they receive runners up prizes. The third year of the Awards was sponsored by Flickr and co sponsored by Leica USA, GNARBOX and Tenba Bags. The winner and finalists had an exhibition in the Flickr HQ in San Francisco.
The SPi Awards 2020, sponsored by The Printspace and Ricoh Imaging, has been won by Denis Cherim. This year’s winner and the fifteen selected finalists shall have their work exhibited for three weeks in London and all have won a Ricoh GR III Street Edition and Tenba DNA camera bag.
Due to Covid 19 the exhibition dates have been delayed, but will be announced when confirmed.
